Editor’s Note: The role of art in environmental education has been a source of personal and professional fascination for years. It has also been a recurring topic in Green Teacher. What is novel about Jessica’s approach is the use of an infographic as a pedagogical tool. Pattern thinkers will surely appreciate the multi-layered approach Jessica has taken; all types of thinkers are likely to find her arrangement of content accessible. In terms of how you could use infographics with your students, consider this an invitation to letting your creative juices flow!

Jessica Del Sole is an Elementary Teacher in the Toronto District School Board in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and, during her free time, an Independent Illustrator. She is in the process of completing an Environmental Education Additional Qualification (AQ) course.
